Inverarity Morton is well known as Scotland’s leading independent supplier of wines, spirits, beers, cider and soft drinks to the trade market.
Recently they took the decision to relocate from their existing Shawbridge premises in Glasgow to a larger facility in Thornliebank. The move to new premises gave them the opportunity to expand their warehouse provision and modernise their working practices.
For Axis Solutions the project meant designing, supplying and installing storage equipment for the new warehouse facility. We worked closely with the client to established the best design for their warehouse space and ensure high levels of efficiency.
The new installation at Thornliebank included:
- 516 bays of pallet racking
- 363 bays of shelving
- 168 levels of carton live storage
- ancillary products including anti collapse mesh partitioning, rack end barriers and around 4500 identification labels
Billy Wood at Axis Solutions said, “For this project we took on challenging timescales and a tight budget. We started the project within 3 weeks of being given the go ahead and completed this high volume commission within 7 weeks. Careful project management was an essential element in the delivery and at one point we had three teams working on site simultaneously in order to meet the deadlines.”
The project was our largest carton live storage installation.
