Investec’s new office in the G1 building in George Square, Glasgow was given a high quality interior fit-out to match the company’s top quality reputation.
The new office interior design in Glasgow was completed on time and on budget and handed over at the start of May to a delighted customer.

G1, the former General Post Office Building is Grade A listed and has been transformed to provide 130,000 sq ft of luxury office space across nine floors in George Square, Glasgow’s cultural and commercial centre. Alongside Investec, a number of other high profile clients have also chosen to locate at the prestigious G1 building, including Ernst and Young, Gardiner and Theobald, Mercer and Maclay Murray and Spens. The building is also home to a Jamie Oliver restaurant and Brown’s Brasserie.
Investec, set for growth
Investec are a global Asset Management Company which has grown rapidly from its inception in South Africa in 1991. Investec’s Scottish presence was boosted by its acquisition of Williams de Broe in 2012 and it has a growing presence in both Edinburgh and Glasgow. The new Glasgow office provides a key city centre location for Investec’s specialist banking, wealth and investment and asset management services.
Axis worked with project manager GVA Grimley to deliver the new office interior in the Glasgow city centre location. The design features high quality finishes and smooth contemporary lines, specified by their South African architect.
